The choice of agricultural machinery
that helps in the maintenance of green areas is growing. Currently, we can choose how we want to mow meadows, wastelands, green areas, and what we want to do with the mowed grass.
Flail mowers
have become a very interesting proposition for many of our customers. Some call them mowers for "special tasks", because they can easily mow tall grass or heavily overgrown areas. As the name suggests, flail mowers
are mowers in which the mowing function is performed by flails placed on the cutting shaft. The cutting shaft rotates at the appropriate speed around its axis, shearing what is above the set height.
The EFGC-K 145 4FARMER flail mower,
commonly known as a " mulcher
", is a massive flail mower with an opening rear hatch, which is ideal for mowing wasteland, meadows and pastures, weedy areas or corn harvest residues. It is definitely a product that will also fulfill its task in municipal companies when taking care of green areas.
The advantage is the ability to open the tailgate when mowing very overgrown areas. The mown material will be less shredded, but at the same time the tractor will not be subjected to as much load as when working with the flap closed.
On which areas will this mower be used in 100%? brake, barren, roadsides, orchards and plant nurseries, green areas, weedy areas, meadows, pastures, removal of crop residues. If you own a flail mower, it is very important to regularly check the sharpness of the cutting mechanism. This ensures that mowing will be efficient and effective. The flail mower not only mows, but also mulches the mowed material. What is it all about? This is a technique of mowing grass/other organic materials and mulching the cut material so that it is a natural fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. The advantage of mulching is also preventing soil erosion, slowing down the growth of weeds and, importantly, depriving us of unwanted mowed grass, which is often an additional problem.
We can mulch grass, crop residues, thanks to which we reduce the amount of post-harvest residues, providing the soil with natural fertilizer and protecting it from pests inhabiting, for example, in the stems of the ground parts of plants.
The EFGC-K 145 4FARMER
flail mower (mulcher)
has a cutting width of 145 cm, which is one of the largest of the eight available widths. In addition to a solid working shaft equipped with horizontally arranged shredding flails, the mower is also equipped with a rear (following) shaft. It allows you to adjust the mowing height and keep the mower at the selected height. The drive from the tractor's PTO shaft is 540 rpm.
When choosing a flail mower,
it is very important to match the mower to the power and weight of our tractor. The flail mower (mulcher) EFGC-K 145
requires a minimum of 35 hp with a large tractor weight.
